About Lucy
Lucy (she/her) is a Doctoral Psychology Intern at IU CAPS. She earned her B.A. in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies from Kenyon College in 2018 and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at IU. She has previously worked with college students, private practice clients, and clients in a community mental health center.
Lucy takes a person-centered, multicultural, and feminist approach to counseling. She believes every client is the expert in their own experience and that a strong alliance between therapist and client is the foundation of successful therapy. She also deeply values justice, inclusion, and accessibility as essential to wellbeing. Her goal is to create a nonjudgmental, collaborative space where clients can explore how their social context and relationships influence their concerns, while also identifying strengths that can help them move forward.
In her free time, Lucy enjoys crocheting, hiking, baking, and reading.
